Hellige – Hellige

Hellige is a one-man Sludge/Doom/Black Metal project from Argentina, formed in 2010. At its beginning it started as raw black metal recordings but as time passed by, it turned into what it is now.

This EP consists on 4 “semi-instrumental” tracks (by semi instrumental I mean that I use my voice as an instrument and actually, there are no lyrics).

This EP is strange to say the least, taking inspiration from drone and noise bands like Sunn (o))) and Wolfeyes then adding a black metal twist. It took me a few listens to get to grips with the sound but if you are a fan of dark, atmospheric emptiness then you’ll be down with this.

Definitely not one to spin on the ipod while taking a midnight stroll through the local cemetery.
